IT veteran has strong expertise in leading technology delivery across
multiple clients
TORONTO, Oct. 4, 2012 /CNW/ - Davis + Henderson Corporation (TSX: DH)
announced today that Young Park has joined the company as Executive
Vice President and Chief Information Officer, where she will be a
member of the D+H Executive Committee and report directly to the CEO,
Gerrard Schmid.
Ms. Park has more than 25 years of IT experience, most recently as
Sector Vice President for Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance at CGI
Group, where she was responsible for business strategy, IT strategy,
application development, and sales and service delivery for P&C clients
in the Greater Toronto area. Prior roles at CGI included Sector Vice
President, Systems Integration and Consulting Services where she was
accountable for developing, managing and delivering both business and
IT services and solutions within commercial and public sectors. Ms.
Park began her career at Bell Northern Research and then Nortel, where
she was a member of the scientific staff, and then worked at Bell Sygma
as General Manger of Systems Development and at ReserveAmerica, where
she was Vice President Information Systems and Technology.
Ms. Park holds a Bachelor of Math (Co-op Computer Science) from the
University of Waterloo and has completed the Queen's Executive
Development program.
Her community involvement includes serving as a member of the board of
directors of Markham Stouffville Hospital and the Toronto Region
Immigration Employment Council (TRIEC) and as a member of the Campaign
Cabinet for the United Way of York Region.
